World-schooling: A Podcast With Dr. Jessica Voigts

Prepare yourselves… I’m doing yet another post on world-schooling.

In previous posts I’ve told answered that popular question traveling families often get, “What about school?”  I’ve revealed a few ways that world-schooling has ruined my childhood. But how do you do it? What are some great resources you can use? Do many families school this way, or is it just being pioneered? Do you really have to be on the road full-time? What if you want to world-school from home? Is that even possible?

Dr. Jessica Voigts is an educator, editor and travel writer at Wandering Educators. She and Ed Forteau run the Wandering Educators Travel Blogging class for teens who love travel. I’m a student in this class, as well as the editor and TA for it, and I can honestly say that it has been one of the most unique and incredible educational experiences I’ve ever been a part of. It’s connected me with many other traveling teens, taught me so many invaluable lessons about what it means to be a travel writer, and has gifted me with some amazing friendships that could potentially stay strong throughout the rest of my life.
